Audience participation is set to be the order of the night when Catalunya’s Julivert make their debut in Sheffield.
The renowned folk act that specialise in tavern songs from their Spanish homeland are performing at Leopold Square’s Cubana on Wednesday, April 17th April.
The act thrive on audience participation and the venue are counting down to the show – which is organised by the Sheffield University Hispanic Society – being one of their liveliest gigs in a long time.
The act are supported by the university’s very own Michael Walsh – flautist extraordinaire and Asturian Music specialist.
Adrian Bagnoli, Cubana co-owner, said: “Every once in a while we have an opportunity to host acts such as Julivert, a couple of special musicians from Catalonia playing a style of music with roots specific to their region. This is set to be one of those nights – a rare treat for all.”
