HUMAN League, Pulp, Arctic Monkeys…some of the biggest names in contemporary music have ben made in Sheffield.
And there was a unique opportunity for talent spotters to pick out the talent of the future as Westbourne School took over the city’s Yellow Arch Studios for a special evening of live music.
Staff, pupils and parents packed the venue to hear Year 5 to 11 pupils displaying a new generation of musical know how, with musicians from beginners to Grade 8 given the opportunity to demonstrate their skills on stage.
And with everything from contemporary rock and pop to jazz on display there was music to suit every taste.
“Our acts showed the diversity of talent at Westbourne,” said Head of Junior School Music Michael Woodward.
“It’s a great experience for our children to be able to perform in a professional music venue like Yellow Arch and I hope this will inspire them and make them hungry for more.”
