Two men have been charged following an attempted knifepoint robbery in Fulwood, Sheffield.
Tyler Chamley, 20, and Peter Parwana, 21, were both detained on Wednesday 17 April following the attempted robbery which took place on Monday 15 April.
On the Monday evening, the victim had visited an ATM in the area before driving home. As they pulled on to a driveway, it is reported that the victim and the other occupant of the car were threatened by two men demanding the £100 they had just withdrawn. It’s believed that one of the men was carrying a knife.
The victim refused to hand over any money and the two men fled.
Chamley and Parwana were detained following a separate theft at Meadowhall on Wednesday 17 April and were subsequently identified by the victim, who believed they were connected the Fulwood incident.
Both men have been charged with attempted robbery, threats with a bladed article and two counts of theft in relation to two separate thefts at Meadowhall.
They appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 20 April and will be remanded in custody until their next court date is fixed.
