YOUNG actor Eleanor Jackson doesn’t have to go too far to find inspiration for her latest role…in fact, she can find it on her own doorstep.
Eleanor has been cast as one of the Three Little Pigs in the STOS Theatre Company production of West End hit Shrek the Musical, coming to Sheffield’s Lyceum in November.
And at her family’s small holding, Eleanor has just been helping out with the latest arrival – a litter of piglets.
The 15-year-old Bradfield School pupil is no stranger to theatre having performed in Lyceum pantomimes Cinderella and Aladdin.
She was also part of the junior ensemble in the Crucible Theatre’s 2013 production of hit musical Oliver.
A student at Sheffield’s Berry Academy of Dance since the age of three, she has also been in many productions with local theatre groups, most recently with Bring It On at Penistone Paramount and the lead in Bradfield School’s Grease.
“I’m really enjoying rehearsals for Shrek and love working with the people in STOS,” she said.
“It’s very different working with a cast of all ages and I’m learning so much from other cast members – I can’t wait to get back on the Lyceum stage.”
Shrek The Musical is at the Lyceum from November 12 to 16. For tickets call 0114 249 6000 or visit sheffieldtheatres.co.uk
