THE team at local homeless charity Emmaus Sheffield enjoyed a taste of life in the fast lane when they made a special visit to Parkwood Karting race track.
Emmaus Sheffield is a drug and alcohol free project that provides a home, support and work for formerly homeless people in the city.
As part of a team building exercise both the charity’s staff and companions put on their crash helmets and headed for the race track.
“Everybody at Emmaus works incredibly hard and we felt it was time for us all to enjoy a break,” said the charity’s CEO Graham Bostock.
“We had a full morning of extremely close races but even in such a competitive atmosphere, there was only ever going to be one winner – our shop supervisor Kate!”
