CHILDREN, staff and pupils at Sheffield’s Westbourne School have cooked up a tasty way of generating funds.
Food the Westbourne Way is the new cook book from the Friends of Westbourne group, packed with recipes from pupils, parents and teachers.
And proceeds from the project will go towards the Broomhill independent school’s outdoor learning area, central to Westbourne’s Forest School status and offering all pupils regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.
“We are very proud of the way our cook book has turned out and there’s a fantastic range of meal ideas for people of all ages and abilities,” said Junior School head Jon Clark.
“Judging by some of the recipes, I’d definitely say Westbourne has some potential Masterchef finalists in the making!”
Food the Westbourne Way costs £15 and will be available to buy at the Westbourne Road school’s Christmas Fair on November 24 from 11am to 1.30pm.
The book can also be ordered through the school by calling 0114 66 0374.
