Fresh appeal in Nadeem Qureshi murder investigation

Officers investigating the death of Nadeem Qureshi in Deepcar last month have made a fresh appeal for information.

Mr Qureshi, 40, was found on Wednesday 24 July at around 7.15pm, on Station Road in Deepcar. He had suffered severe injuries and sadly died a short time later.

A total of seven arrests have been made in connection with his death so far.

Six men, aged 18, 22, 23, 34, 30, and 38, arrested on suspicion of murder have all been released on bail.

One woman, aged 41, arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, has also been bailed.

DC Dean Craik, investigating, has appealed to drivers who were in the area at the time: “We’re interested in hearing from anyone who was travelling along the A6102 Manchester Road that day (24 July) at around 7pm. In particular, I want to hear from people who were on the section of road between Vaughton Hill and More Hall Lane.

“Did you see any vehicles driving strangely or erratically? Did you notice anything unusual that day? We would really like to hear from you. I’m also keen for anyone who has dashcam footage of this stretch of road, that evening to contact us.”

If you can help, please call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. Please quote incident 831 of 24 July 2019 when passing on information.
