Grenoside and Birley Carr Players need new men for next show

GRENOSIDE and Birley Carr Players are looking for men to add a little extra magic to their next show.

The popular theatre group’s production of Gilbert and Sullivan comic operetta The Sorcerer runs at Grenoside Community centre from March 26 to 30 2019.

But the magic of the crazy story of a mysterious love potion will only work with more men in the cast.

“We would welcome any new members who may wish to join us but, like many other societies, we really do need more men,” said director Karen Ann Loxley.

“This is a great piece of Gilbert and Sullivan comedy presented by an extremely friendly company with many years experience in bringing the world of G&S to life.

“We would also welcome anybody who does not have a desire to be onstage to help with the many vital jobs necessary front of house or backstage during the week of the production.”

Rehearsals are held every Wednesday evening from November at 7.45pm at Norfolk Hill Methodist Church in Grenoside.
