Scores of guests turned up to celebrate the return of an Italian institution to the streets of Broomhill recently.
One of Sheffield’s most popular cafes has undergone the biggest transformation in its 18 year history.
Over 60 guests packed into Remo’s Cafe to toast the return of the business following a stylish makeover and the addition of its first alcohol licence and Friday and Saturday night opening.
Owner Remo Simeone has come a long way since he first started working at Nonnas on Ecclesall Road over 20 years ago.
The experience persuaded him that Broomhill needed its own piece of Italian authenticity and Remo’s Café was born.
As popularity increased, so did the size of the café as he extended into the downstairs of the premises.
Remo’s kitchen is now managed by headchef Lendi, formerly of Nonnas, who wowed party guests with a selection of canapes from the new-look menu.
The café also boasts fine Italian wines and draft Italian lager.
Remo Simeone said: “We really couldn’t have wished for a better reaction to our food, our makeover or our extended opening hours. It is brilliant to be back and brilliant to be serving the people of Broomhill once again.”
Remo’s bookings can be made on 0114 267 1525. Remo’s is situated at 259 Fulwood Road, Sheffield S10 3BD.
