National healthcare charity Sue Ryder will open a new superstore in Hillsborough this Tuesday 27 November.
The new store on Bradfield Road promises over 3,500 square feet selling high-quality second-hand furniture, white goods and clothing at bargain prices, and will be open seven days a week.
Doors will open at 10am on Tuesday and Sue Ryder staff will be on hand to guide shoppers round the store and talk about volunteering opportunities.
The new superstore is one of a new phase of stores introduced by Sue Ryder and joins over 450 high street shops across the UK that support the charity’s palliative, neurological and bereavement care.
Helen Watkinson, Sue Ryder Hillsborough shop manager said: ‘‘We’re delighted to launch another of Sue Ryder’s ‘superstores’ here in Hillsborough. The space in the new store allows us to sell larger items like furniture and white goods as well as a wider choice of goods – all at the incredible prices you would expect at a Sue Ryder shop.
‘‘Not only will you bag a bargain for your home or wardrobe at the new Hillsborough store, you will also be helping Sue Ryder support people facing a terminal illness, a complex neurological condition or the loss of a loved one.
‘‘Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to pop in for a cup of tea and chat with our friendly team. We would love some help on the sales desk and with sorting donations and testing portable appliances. No experience is necessary as training is provided, and volunteering is a great way to meet people and pick up new skills and even gain an NVQ.’’
‘‘Donations can be dropped off at the store and items of furniture can be picked up from your home for free when you fill out the form at www.sueryder.org/furniture.’’
Sue Ryder is in the process of opening superstores across the UK in locations such as East Garforth and Wrexham.
The new Sue Ryder Hillsborough superstore is located at 141-147 Bradfield Road, Hillsborough, Sheffield, South Yorks, S6 2BY. For more information about volunteering contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
