Henry Boot sponsors hospice Festival of Light campaign

SHEFFIELD company Henry Boot’s continued support for St Luke’s Hospice will reach a sparkling climax at one of the city’s best loved festive events.

For the second year running, Henry Boot will sponsor the popular St Luke’s Festival of Light.

The company is a leading corporate supporter of St Luke’s, having already raised more than £24,500 at the 2016 Master Cutler’s Challenge and then raising a further £22,500 when they chose St Luke’s as their Charity of the Year for 2017.

For more than 20 years, the St Luke’s Festival of Light has provided the opportunity for families to come together and remember loved ones in a very special way, dedicating a light in their memory which will shine over the festive period.

It’s a chance for friends from Sheffield and beyond to join the St Luke’s team in a light-filled celebration for the whole family to enjoy and this year the lights will shine out on December 1, when BBC Radio Sheffield presenter and keen St Luke’s supporter Paulette Edwards will once again be hosting the evening.

“We are delighted that Henry Boot are continuing to support us in such a positive way,” said St Luke’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder.

“They have done so much for our patients and families in recent years and their continued backing really does make an enormous difference to the charity.”

Darren Littlewood, Henry Boot’s Group Finance Director, added: “We have a great relationship with St Luke’s and we are always privileged to be able to support such a wonderful charity, in particular the Festival of Light.

“This event always proves to be popular and it is a great way to start the Christmas countdown by remembering loved ones who are no longer with us”.
