Jermaine Richards charged with Barnsley burglary

A 28-year-old man from Sheffield has been charged in connection to a burglary and assault that happened on Princess Street in Barnsley.

Jermaine Richards of Challoner Green in Sheffield has been charged with burglary to inflict GBH, S18 assault and possession of a bladed article.

The charges are in connection to a burglary that happened on Saturday 14 September. It is reported that Richards entered the property of a man and woman known to him and assaulted the man in the property.

Richards is currently remanded in custody. He will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on 21 October 2019.
