THE last Open Mic Night of 2018 at The Montgomery comes to the popular city centre venue on September 29.
The Surrey Street theatre and arts space has joined forces with resident improv troupe The Antics for an evening of comedy, music and conviviality.
This final session of 2018 will once again shine the spotlight on Sheffield’s emerging talent, with The Antics – the improvisational comedy troupe formed in 2008 primarily of students and alumni of Sheffield Hallam University – rounding off the evening with their hilarious blend of fast-paced skits and songs.
“Of course, a night like this is only as good as the talent we attract and we have open mic slots for comedians, musicians and variety act performers,” said The Montgomery’s Marketing and Programming Manager Rachel Jack.
“These nights have proved extremely popular with both audiences and people brave enough to take the open mic challenge and we are sure that some of the people you see performing on the night could be among the stars of the future.
“And it’s a Pay What You Feel event, which means you’ll be seeing top talent a price everybody can afford.”
