Made of Steel Made of Stars

Dom Stokes, Head of SIVLive, last night launched the FLYDSA Arena’s forthcoming season in spectacular fashion as South Yorkshire’s latest indie chart stars, The Sherlocks, performed an exclusive preview of their forthcoming second album Under Your Sky in the Arena’s SIVLive Arena Club.

This is the third of the intimate money can’t buy exclusive gigs to take place under the “Made of Steel Made of Stars – Live from the FlyDSA Arena Sheffield” banner. With previous gigs from local singer Harry Walker from band Sundance and 2018 X Factor runner up Scarlett Lee & finalist Shan Ako.

Over the summer the venue has seen a rebranding to reflect the history and heritage of the amazing acts & shows that have graced the Arena stage since the venue opened in May 1991. Following the Made of Steel Made of Stars brand launched last year customers and artistes alike will be able to spot the many bands & shows that have graced the venue.

The relationship with resident Ice Hockey team Sheffield Steelers grows from strength to strength with the expansion of their changing and training facilities in the venue – that all those lucky enough to attend the launch got a birds eye view of during the behind the scenes tour.

The amazing SIV Sport venues continue to deliver some of the world’s top sporting events

Our commercial services whether that be our ticketing operation, our catering provision, our hospitality options or our car parking facilities continue to provide funds for Sheffield City Trust’ award winning Health & WellBeing objectives and activities in the City of Sheffield.

In these challenging and uncertain times, my goal is to ensure we give the best possible customer experience to all our customers, whether they are front or back of house. Quite simply we want to give people a great time”.

2020 will also see the Arena moving into the third and final year of its naming rights deal with Doncaster Sheffield Airport which was last week voted by Which? Magazine as the UKs Best Airport for the third year in a row.
