MUM’S the word for Handsworth and Hallam Theatre Company as they come up with a theatrical solution to the Mothering Sunday question.
All the mums in the company’s next production, the lavish family musical version of classic adventure The Wind in the Willows, reckon tickets to the show would be the perfect Mother’s Day treat.
The much-loved riverbank favourite has been adapted for the stage by Oscar-winning Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, with songs by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, who worked on the hit West End and Broadway stage version of Mary Poppins.
This new production for Handsworth and Hallam is the South Yorkshire premiere of the show and runs at The Montgomery in Sheffield’s Surrey Street from June 19 to 22.
“Flowers and chocolates are fine but tickets to a great show really would give mum something to look forward to,” said company spokesperson Laura Langley.
“We have a fabulous cast who will be bringing this story to life so grab your tickets now for this feel-good, family musical!”
Tickets for the show, which is directed and choreographed by Claire Harriott with musical direction by Ray Gallagher, are on sale now. To book call 07586293546 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
