MEET the new star of Sheffield’s theatre scene…Monty Mouse!

Monty is the official mascot of the The Montgomery , the Surrey Street theatre and arts venue  in the heart of the city centre that is home to some of Sheffield’s most popular theatre companies.

And on Saturday September 15 there will be a chance for children to join a special workshop with the experts from Little Felted Dreams, where they will have the chance to make their own Monty.

The workshop, which begins at 10.30am, is open to children over the age of eight and costs £8.

Working with a blank felt armature, each child will add clothes, colour, facial features, ears and a tail to create their own unique take on Monty.

“Places are strictly limited so we do advise booking as soon as possible,” said The Montgomery Marketing and Programming Manager Rachel Jack.

“We’re delighted to be welcoming Monty to The Montgomery team and think he could be one of our big stars of the future.

“This workshop will kick off our Autumn/Winter programme of creative workshops and performances for children and families.”
