Man charged with alleged robberies in Sheffield

A 33-year-old man appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court this weekend charged in connection with two reported robberies in Sheffield.

Wayne Robinson, of Castle Walk, Sheffield, appeared before the court on Saturday 29 December charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of failing to comply with drug assessment, one count of possession of a bladed article with intent to cause fear, and one count of possession of an imitation firearm.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Monday 21 January.

The charges relate to two reported robberies at a newsagents on Duke Street, Sheffield. The first incident was reported on Saturday 24 November, the second incident was reported on Wednesday 19 December.
