A 39-year-old man remanded in connection with the murder of Lewis Bagshaw in Sheffield has been released from custody after the charge against him was dropped.
Scott Winter, of Southey Avenue, Sheffield, was charged with murder in July 2019.
Following a joint police and CPS decision, this charge was dropped and he has been released from custody.
A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, remains on remand charged with murder and legal proceedings remain ongoing.
Seven individuals have been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation. Five are on bail pending further enquiries, two are released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Mr Bagshaw, 21, was found injured on Piper Crescent, Sheffield, on the evening of Sunday 21 July. He was taken to hospital where he sadly died.
