Motorcyclist dies following Sheffield collision

A 22-year-old motorcyclist injured in a collision in the Stannington area of Sheffield on Saturday evening has sadly died. 

At around 11.45pm on Saturday 8 June it was reported that a red and white coloured trial type motorbike was travelling along Oldfield Road towards Stannington, when it collided with a road sign. 

The rider of the bike, a man from Sheffield, was taken to hospital where he sadly died from his injuries last night (10 June). 

His family are being supported by specialist officers.

Officers want to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or saw the bikes movements prior to the collision.
