SHEFFIELD not for profit care home provider Sheffcare is launching a major recruitment drive across the city.
The organisation currently operates a chain of ten care homes throughout Sheffield.
And there is now a full range of vacancies available in a range of different roles.
Sheffcare is looking for cooks to work in the kitchens of both its Gleadless homes – Castelayn and Paddock Hill – as well as at its Midhurst Road property in Fox Hill.
There are also openings for a variety of caring and domestic roles at both the new Sheffcare home, Beighton’s Knowle Hill, and at Grange Crescent in Nether Edge.
All jobs come with full training opportunities and Sheffcare also pays the fee for the compulsory Disclosure Barring Service check.
“We take enormous pride in the levels of support we provide for all our staff and that is reflected in the staff retention rate, which is significantly higher than the national average,” said Sheffcare Chief Executive Belinda Black.
“In fact, staff surveys show that over 85 per cent of employees are satisfied or extremely satisfied with working for Sheffcare
“We are also delighted that in the latest national Your Care survey, the country’s largest and most authoritative survey of care home residents, a fantastic 99 per cent of our residents said they were happy with our services.
“Even though we score very highly every year, we do not rest on our laurels but work all the time on maintaining and improving our services and is with that in mind that we now have these important vacancies available
“The fact that we also score at 98 per cent for family satisfaction is yet further proof of the very highest standards we aim to achieve at all times, an approach that is upheld by our consistently good CQC ratings.
“Sheffcare really does offer a great working environment and some excellent training opportunities for people.”
