Sharrow residents were treated to complimentary taster sessions of everything from hypnotherapy to reflexology as part of day long celebrations to mark the arrival of a brand new complementary healthcare practice in the area
The renowned Stillpoint Practice, which has operated successfully from Nether Edge for the past 15 years, has moved to state of the art new premises at 272a London Road, Sheffield S2 4NA.
The practice is one of the few places anywhere in the region that offers Ayurveda – known as the ‘sister science’ of yoga and considered by many to be one of the oldest healing sciences in the world.
The therapy is headed up by Pru Webster – one of the foremost practitioners in the country. She began studying Ayurveda in 2003 and spent time in Sri Lanka as part of her training.
Stillpoint is also home to Gerry McAuley – an expert in hypnotherapy, life coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). He comes from a business background and divides his time between management consultancy and complementary healthcare.
The practice was originally started by Christine Hagin and Isobel Stevenson. Christine still runs Stillpoint with daughters Ellie Hartley and Katie Hagin.
Its new Sharrow practice brings together a wealth of experienced practitioners offering a range of services including Mctimoney Chiropractic, Massage, Counselling, Physiotherapy, Reflexology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Analytical Therapy and much more.
Christine Hagin said: “We’re thrilled with our move to Sharrow and it was wonderful to meet so many local residents at our launch event. We have fantastic premises which provide the perfect ambience for our range of complementary healthcare and practitioners.”
