Officers release CCTV in connection to street robbery

Police in Sheffield are appealing for your help to identify two men they believe could hold information about a street robbery.

At around 12.20am on Sunday 16 December, it was reported that a 38-year-old man was walking along Bethal Walk in Sheffield City centre when he was approached by an unknown man.

He was advised that a taxi was waiting for him however when he followed the man, he was attacked by a group of men and knocked unconscious in a neighbouring alleyway.

His wallet, money and phone was stolen during the assault. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment but has now been released.

His bank card has been used since the attack and officers have released CCTV of two men they would like to speak to in connection to the incident.
