An annual job fair returns to Shiregreen next month where a range of exciting career and training opportunities will be on offer.
Sanctuary Housing has teamed up with community regeneration charity SOAR to organise the event, which will take place from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Thursday 20 September at Firth Park Library.
A variety of Sheffield employers and training providers will be promoting live job vacancies and other opportunities, with dedicated advisers also being on hand to talk about training within further education and apprenticeships.
In addition, residents will be able to sign up for a one-to-one CV workshop and receive expert advice on what employers are looking for.
All attendees will have the chance to win an iPad Air at the event.
Melanie King, Sanctuary’s neighbourhood partnerships manager for Shiregreen, said: “One of our main aims is supporting our residents to access meaningful employment and training opportunities, and by working in partnership with SOAR we are helping local community members take the first step towards achieving their career ambitions.
“If you’re looking for a new job or training opportunity, come along. This event has previously been a big success and I’m confident this year will be no exception.”
For more information, contact the employment team at SOAR by calling 0114 244 0401 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Anyone who can’t attend the job fair but would like advice on careers or training in Shiregreen can also contact the team.
This project is funded by Sanctuary’s Community Investment Fund, supporting projects which benefit Sanctuary residents and their communities.
