Detectives investigating a stabbing in Chapeltown on New Year’s Eve last year have launched a fresh appeal for witnesses.
At around 8.25pm on New Year’s Eve (31 December 2018) a 27-year-old man was seriously injured near to the Wagon and Horses Pub following a reported assault.
Enquiries are ongoing to ascertain exactly what happened that evening.
Four men have been arrested as part of the investigation so far.
Two 19-year-old men have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old man have been released under investigation.
Detective Constable Victoria Kenny, investigating, said: “We are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries about what happened on New Year’s Eve, but I still need witnesses to come forward.
