Robbery of elderly woman in Netherthorpe

Detectives in Sheffield are appealing for witnesses following the robbery of an elderly woman at her home address in the Netherthorpe area this week.

At around 6.45pm on Tuesday 3 October, it is reported that an unknown man knocked at the door of a property in the St Philip’s Road area.

The occupant, a woman in her 80s, opened the door and was pushed to the floor. She suffered minor injuries.

The suspect left the scene with a small quantity of cash.

He is described as being olive-skinned, between 5ft 3ins and 5ft 4ins tall, of slight build with dark hair. The man is believed to be in his 30s and spoke with a foreign accent.

He was reportedly wearing a white jacket that appeared silky in appearance, with black trousers.
