Second arrest in connection to Arbourthorne shooting

A second man has been arrested in Sheffield as part of the ongoing investigation into a shooting in the Arbourthorne area on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to Northern Avenue at around 3.45pm on Sunday, where a 12-year-old boy was found with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A 25 year old man, from Sheffield, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and is currently in police custody.

A 30-year-old man arrested yesterday on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm remains in custody at this time.
