Sheffcare residents welcome Lord Mayor and Santa to their party

YOU’RE never too old to enjoy a sleigh ride…as residents with city care home chain Sheffcare demonstrated as they got together for their annual Christmas party.

The not for profit organisation’s annual Festive celebration was held at Colley Working Men’s Club in Parson Cross, with a guest appearance by Lord Mayor of Sheffield Coun Tony Downing.

Along with live entertainment and a full Christmas lunch, there was also a visit from the Hallam FM Sleigh, giving all the guests chance to prove that it’s just as good to give as it is to receive at Christmas.

For all ten homes made a donation of Christmas gifts to the sleigh as part of Hallam FM’s annual Cash for Kids campaign.

“Christmas is something to be enjoyed no matter how old or young you are and by supporting Cash for Kids it really did feel like we were bridging the gap between generations,” said Sheffcare Chief Executive Belinda Black.
