Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Non-Executive Director to join the Board of Directors.
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals is one of the UK’s largest, busiest and most successful NHS Foundation Trusts and as well as managing the City’s five adult hospitals, it also runs one of the largest community health services teams in the NHS. The Trust provides the full range of services for people in Sheffield but is also a regional and national centre for many conditions including Neurosciences, renal, cardiac and neonatal care. It is also a leader in the field of medical research and innovation.
Tony Pedder, Chairman at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant contribution to the continuing success and improvement of acute and community healthcare services in Sheffield. Non-Executive directors (NED) help shape the Trust’s vision and play a key role in the future direction of the organisation. Alongside providing advice and guidance to the Executive team, they act as ambassadors for the Trust. With the launch of the new NHS Long Term plan the successful person will join us at the beginning of a new journey which will see healthcare transform over the coming years in a very different way. We are particularly keen to ensure our Board reflects the very diverse communities and needs we have in Sheffield and the wider region.”
The closing date for applicants is 25th January 2019.
