ST Luke’s Hospice has confirmed that its Sheffield Wednesday Charity Cup contest has been postponed.
The sporting challenge which raises money for both St Luke’s and the Sheffield Wednesday Community programme was scheduled for Saturday, March 28.
Following guidance from Sheffield Wednesday, however, it has been decided that the match will now be played at a later date.
“I know many people will be very disappointed because this is always a great occasion for Owls fans,” said St Luke’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder.
“But everybody is agreed that in the current climate it is far better to reschedule to later in the year.
“Please do look out in local press and via our social media channels for announcements on when the match will go ahead.”
