IF you’re planning to invite St Luke’s Hospice Chaplain Mike Reeder round to dinner, better make sure there’s traditional meat and potato pie on the menu…with a generous dash of Henderson’s Relish.
Mike is one of the local celebrity contributors to Strong and Local, the new recipe book celebrating the impact uniquely local condiment Henderson’s Relish has had on Sheffield’s cuisine.
And Mike’s addition to the range of recipes is a real Sheffield favourite, meat and potato pie.
“Pie and pea nights were one of the first things to capture my heart when I moved here in 1995,” said Mike.
“I loved being introduced to this Sheffield treat and have since been to many events where it has been on the menu.
“And it always tastes even better with Henderson’s, who have also been keen St Luke’s supporters over the years!”
