WESTBOURNE School in Sheffield will hold its annual Autumn Open Day this October.
The city’s only co-educational independent school for children aged three to 16 will be welcoming visitors to its Westbourne Road Pre-School, Junior School and Senior School on Saturday, October 13 from 10am to 12 noon.
And among the facilities visitors will be able to explore will be the school’s new Forest School area for outdoor learning and development.
The school has already made great headway toward its long-term goal of improving the social and emotional wellbeing of its children through increased access to outdoor learning.
By utilising their whole leafy campus Westbourne has ensured that their Forest School provision continues to grow, allowing more children to access new skills at the same time as developing teamwork, perseverance and resilience.
“Our open days give families the opportunity to see what excellent facilities Westbourne has to offer to Sheffield girls and boys,” said Director of Marketing and Admissions Angela Bywater.
“Everybody who is thinking of applying to place a child at Westbourne is welcome to come along, chat to staff and pupils and find out what being part of the Westbourne family is all about.
“And for children about to make the transition from Junior to Senior School, this marks the ideal opportunity to take some of the mystique out of that major change to their routine.
“We are proof that an independent education can be totally affordable and our open day is also a fantastic opportunity to find out more about our programme of scholarships and bursaries.”
