Tale of Two times Comes to the Studio

A new play, Steel, had its World Premiere in the Studio last night, and will run until Saturday 6 October.

The top candidate without question, Vanessa was made to be Mayor. Thirty years prior, Josie just wants things to change and seeks a seat on the local council. This witty new play by Chris Bush (What We Wished For, A Dream) explores the last three decades of women in politics, asking what’s changes and what still much.

Directed by Rebecca Frecknall, Steel features Rebecca Scroggs (Eastenders) as Vanessa/Josie and Nigel Betts (Outlander) as Ian/Dai.

Steel runs at the Studio Theatre from Wednesday 12 September – Saturday 6 October. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from Sheffield Theatres’ Box Office in-person, by phone on 0114 249 6000 or online at sheffieldtheatres.co.uk and are priced from £15.00.
