We’re going on a baby hunt as Westbourne children stage their nativity

IT may be the greatest story ever told…but there’s always a way to provide a fresh take on a classic.

Reception to Year 2 pupils at Sheffield’s Westbourne School delighted their audience with a new interpretation of the Christmas story.

The children took the Bible tale of the birth of Jesus as their starting point but then told it in the style of contemporary classic We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.

And with some new songs and situations for all the familiar characters to encounter on their way to Bethlehem, it made for a delightful re-telling of the seasonal story.
