WHILE most people are still dreaming of a white Christmas, young pupils at Sheffield’s Westbourne School are looking forward to a blue spring!
Children at the Broomhill independent school made donations to plant bluebell bulbs in the Dell, part of the Westbourne outdoor learning space.
And money raised by the planting session will be going to the school’s charity of the year, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
“We were delighted when our pupils chose to support Bluebell Wood this year and this seemed like to perfect way to add to our fundraising total,” said Westbourne’s Head of Junior School Jon Clark.
“The really nice thing is that for many years to come the bluebells will bloom and pupils of the future will be able to enjoy the efforts of the pupils of today.”
