TAKE a look at these three faces now…because you probably won’t recogniser them when they take to the stage at Sheffield’s Lyceum on November 12!
By then, thanks to a healthy dose of theatre magic and the technical skills of makeup lady Pat Bunting, this trio of leading men will be been transformed into the musical world’s least likely and greenest leading man.
Mark Holmes is playing the starring role in STOS Theatre Company’s lavish production of Shrek The Musical, the live stage version of the classic Hollywood animation about a big green troll and his adventures with a talking donkey and a princess with an unlikely secret.
It’s a crazy re-boot of some familiar fairy tales with a cool contemporary twist – and some fantastic songs.
And helping Mark bring the character to life are Seth Arden-Armitage and Fraser Hughes who share the role of the young Shrek, the apparently mean-spirited green ogre who loves the solitude of his swamp until finds his life interrupted by a host of unexpected exiled fairytale characters.
Shrek The Musical is at the Lyceum from November 12 to 16. For tickets call 0114 249 6000 or visit sheffieldtheatres.co.uk
