Witness appeal after shots fired at properties

Detectives are appealing for information following two incidents which occurred in the Parson Cross and Shirecliffe areas of Sheffield.  

The incidents are being treated as linked and extensive enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved. 

The first incident occurred at 10:39pm on Sunday 11 August 2019. Shots are reported to have been fired at a property on Bishopsholme Close in the Shirecliffe area of Sheffield, causing damage to a window. Two men on a dirt bike are reported to have been seen in the area around the time of the incident. 

The second incident occurred at around 10:44pm on Sunday 11 August 2019 on Lindsay Avenue in the Parson Cross area of Sheffield. Shots were again fired at a property causing damage to a window. Two men were seen in the area on a dirt bike. 

No one has been injured. 

Officers are carrying out additional patrols in the area to provide reassurance to the local communities while they carry out their enquiries.
