Witness appeal after shots fired in Sheffield

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information as their investigation continues into reports of shots fired in the Firshill Crescent area of Sheffield.

Officers were called at around 2.50pm on Sunday 13 September to reports that shots had been fired.

It is understood that shots were fired towards two males who were riding a moped or scooter along Firshill Crescent. The suspects, also believed to be male, are then believed to have fled the scene on foot, in the direction of Orphanage Road.

The males on the scooter then left the scene in the direction of Shirecliffe Road.

After a search of the local area, the suspects and victims were not identified or located, but evidence of a firearms discharge was found.


Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident and police are keen to hear from anyone who may hold information.
